Decolonizing healing practices

Decolonizing healing practices workshop.

In the baseline of decolonisation we are speaking about people or an area that has been colonised, and the act of restoring is the fact of decolonisation.

This goes for a country, culture and its people.

Colonisation has been a state of our planet since we can remember.

When we are speaking about decolonizing the mind, we are speaking about rewriting the narrative that has been forced upon us.

The stories we tell ourselves about who we are, our cultures or simply the way we are asked to exist.

This workshop is about the decolonisation of the ‘healing world'.

To be able to have the conversation about decolonizing anything, there needs to be a reconnection to the root. The root of who we are as a people.

Many spiritual and healing practices are focused on an individual approach.

While in fact, we in our nature, are creatures of community.

We thrive when we feel safe, loved and supported by those around us that we relate to.

We heal in community.

This workshop is about educating ourselves about different layers in this conversation:

1: What kind of healing is out there?

2: What kind of community am I moving through?

3: What kind of healing practices did my ancestors follow?

4: How can I  choose clean, between all that is available out there?

I am excited to have this conversation with you, to reconnect, realign and restore.
